Raise your hand if you like things simple, because I sure do! Each and every session with LIB is all inclusive, meaning every session comes with your high resolution digital images in an online gallery for you to cherish and print for a lifetime. Style, location, and personalities are what inspire me and will guide our fun and relaxed session. My goal is always to capture the love, giggles, cuddles, and fun you have as a family.

A deposit of $100 reserves your session date and is applied towards your session balance. To ensure my clients receive the personal attention they deserve, I only accept a limited number of sessions each month. It is advisable to book your session in advance. Studio sessions are scheduled on weekday mornings and outdoor evening sessions are typically booked for Tuesday/Thursday evenings one hour before sunset. Feel free to email me if you need to check different availability!

NATURAL NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY 
I specialize in natural newborn and family photography. My goal is to create timeless images that you can cherish forever.
My style is pure, simple, and light. I love soft, neutral colors and textures and I incorporate them into all of my work. My focus will be on your sweet baby and all of their tiny little features and parts that will change so quickly. I am not a big user of large props, I like to use natural fabrics and baskets. I believe that less is more and that your baby should be the focus of the art that we create. My approach and style to newborn photography is very natural. Your baby will be kept warm and comfortable and I will not be posing your brand new baby into forced positions or awkward props.

THE STUDIO 
Mallory has a natural light studio with a warm and welcoming environment for families to relax and enjoy their session. LIB studio is fully stocked with beautiful baby clothing, wraps, headbands and sweet natural accessories for your baby. My studio is located near Monroe, Iowa and is perfect for my natural newborn sessions, maternity sessions, milestones, families, branding and boudoir sessions! I love having a space where I am inspired by the soft light. I have all the props, textures and equipment available, and where I can control the temperature to be warm enough for an unclothed newborn. Your drive to my studio likely means your brand new babe will arrive sound asleep and ready to be photographed! I find great delight in welcoming you into my space, and making you feel comfortable and special! Let’s make some magic of your family!

WHAT TYPES OF SESSIONS DO YOU OFFER?
I photograph newborns, children, families, seniors, boudoir and business branding sessions.

 

WHAT TIME OF DAY DO YOU BOOK SESSIONS?
l typically book outdoor sessions a couple hours before sunset as this is the time that the sun is at just the right spot to create beautiful, flattering light for your session. Studio sessions are scheduled mid morning for best natural light.

WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?

My studio or I shoot outdoor sessions all over surrounding areas of Monroe to Des Moines, Iowa. I have my favorite sweet spots for every season in Iowa! Travel fee may apply outside of Des Moines but I love to travel!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY SESSION?
This is a very important question! In order to achieve light, airy photographs, I recommend my clients to wear light, mostly solid clothing. Think white, cream and light pastels! Upon booking, I send my clients a Style Guide. The goal of my sessions is to create images that are minimalistic, with the focus on your kids and interactions of you with your family. For this, I recommend wearing light neutral colors adding a little bit of pattern on someone. Think creams, white, light pink, light grey, etc. For mamas, I recommend loose fitting dresses with feminine details and for the dads, I recommend a casual button-up or t-shirt with khakis or light jeans. It may sound silly, but a white tee on dads looks so great with a baby in a white wrap for newborn sessions!

 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE IMAGES FROM MY SESSION?
You can expect to receive your final images within 2 weeks of your session date.

 

HOW DO I BOOK?

You can email me or click on the book online tab in top right corner of this website! Simple session dates are posted. Email me for full session dates! I am limiting full sessions this year to five per month so please reach out in advance. I really want to serve my full session clients as wonderfully as possible while juggling mom life so I'm cutting down on the amount per month this year for my own family and yours! 

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SIMPLE SESSION AND A FULL SESSION? 

A simple session is a smaller session that includes less time, images, and these are booked back to back for multiple families. An easy way to update some frames and get some new photos of your children. Great for small families or just children. These are only offered on set days/times throughout the year chosen by me. On the other hand, full sessions are much more relaxed. We have plenty of time for kids to warm up, relax, and play. This gives me time to capture my most favorite images. Candid, snuggling moments, dancing, playing patty cake and brushing a hair out of your toddler's face, just mom and dad, exploring our location, snuggling your sweet little baby or hugging your teenage son. No rushing, no worrying if your kid is crying and needs a few minutes. Plenty of chatting and a change of outfits if desired. We can plan your session together based off a location you would love to shoot at and you are the only family I'm working with rather than a line after you. The best part- In the end you'll wind up with a full gallery of posed/artistic/playful images. Typically 100 + photos perfect for gallery walls and books to remember this moment in your ever changing life.

YES I DO! A brand new one! A light, airy, dreamy white studio right outside of Monroe, IA. Perfect for families, newborns, children, branding, and boudoir photography.

 

DO YOU HELP WITH WARDROBE FOR OUR SESSION?

Absolutely I do! Your clothes are a major part of your session and may I add a major stressor for you! I am so excited to offer my brand new shop-able guide that is updated every month with 10 new looks for the entire family! Find an outfit you like- just click the photo and it takes you to link to order online! All ages and price points hit! Dress your entire family with ease from your couch. I will send this out 1-2 months before our session to help you dress the entire family.

If you’re anything like me, you want to know all the deets before you book a session… so here’s the breakdown in five simple steps.

 

STEP 1

Go to the book online tab at the top of my website on your right! You can see different session types. You'll fill out a little questionnaire that goes over some basic details and your hopes + dreams for the session, submit a deposit of $100, and choose your session all online in just a few minutes. Of course email me with any other questions.

STEP 2

As soon as we're officially official, we'll set the date! I’ll also send you a welcome guide that goes through how to prepare for the session, some tips and answers to the most common questions people have. I will also send you a shop-able guide with several looks for the entire family you can shop directly from!

STEP 3

A couple of days before the session I'll be in touch to confirm our time and location and answer any last minute questions you may have.

STEP 4

It's here! The day of your session we will have a fun and relaxing time with your people all loving on each other.

Then 1-2 weeks after the session, you’ll get an email from me letting you know your photos are ready.

STEP 5

The BEST part!! You get to view your photos for the very first time! Getting your photos is a HUGE DEAL and I want it to FEEL like a huge deal!

View, cry happy tears, and love your photos. From here you may download your gallery straight to your computer to order prints/products or you can order straight through your gallery! Your choice! They are yours forever.

 

I think that's everything! To secure a session the only payment due at booking is the $100 deposit up front. Remaining balance is due one week before your session.
